Writtenbythestars was born April 23, 2018, at GreenMount Farm, and is a Maryland-bred daughter of the brilliant Grade 1 winner Verrazano, whose first foals are racing this year. She is out of Rough Water, a two-time winner and dam of five winners from five to race. Rough Water’s dam is a Grade 3 winner, and her second dam is a Grade 1 winner.
