This Pennsylvania-bred filly was foaled May 16, 2018, and is a half-sister to the stakes winner of $477k Sailor’s Revenge, as well as to three other winners. Her dam, Waveland, was a winning daughter of Woodman who is a half to Grade 3 winner Sailor’s Cap and a pair of stakes-placed winners, all of them out of the impressive winner Wave On, by Caveat, who is in turn a half to Grade 3 winner Valor Lady. Wave On’s dam, Hot Option, was also a Grade 3 winner.
This filly’s sire, Jump Start, was a Grade 2-winning 2-year-old for Overbrook Farm and Wayne Lukas, before he eventually made his way to Pennsylvania as a stallion, where he has been the top sire in the state for several years running. His recent stakes winners include a 2018 Graded-winning juvenile filly at Saratoga.
After spending most of her yearling year at GreenMount Farm, this filly shipped to Zoe Valvo at the Middleburg Training Center in September to begin learning how to be a racehorse, at which point she was acquired by a Wasabi racing partnership, by whom she will be campaigned.
