Army Mule was an $825,000 2YO in-training purchase who went on to an undefeated career in which his average margin of victory was more than 7 lengths. In his stakes debut, he won the G1 Carter by more than 6 lengths, earning a 114 Beyer Speed Figure, which was the highest of that year up to a mile. At stud, despite starting out at a four-figure stud fee, Army Mule sired no fewer than 7 stakes winners and 10 stakes horses in his first crop, a group which was fast, early and versatile. His runners so far are led by G1W One In Vermillion, ’24 G2W Federal Judge, and G3W Danse Macabre.
Army Mule has an amazing AEI/CI ratio, and his black-type percentages are off-the-charts – including having sired 10% BTWs to runners. He stands at Hill ‘N’ Dale Farm, and we have every expectation that his profile will continue to rise as his better-bred crops reach the races in the coming years.
Having pursued several shares in him during 2023, we succeeded in helping a client acquire a share in Army Mule in late 2024.
