Goldencents (by Into Mischief out of Golden Works, by Banker’s Gold) was the first star for now-leading sire Into Mischief on the racetrack, and he now stands alongside his sire at Spendthrift Farm in Kentucky.
He won the G3 Delta Jackpot at 2 and was 2nd that season in the G1 Champagne in just his second start. At 3 he won the G1 Santa Anita Derby and the first of his back-to-back G1 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Miles. At 4 he won the G2 Pat O’Brien (7 furlongs on all-weather) in addition to his BC repeat, and he placed at 3 or 4 in the G1 Met Mile, the G1 Big Crosby (twice), and the G1 Santa Anita Sprint Championship (twice).
At stud, Goldencents has consistently been the leading sire of his class, with G1 winner Going to Vegas, G2 winners By My Standards, Mr. Money and Phantom Currency, G3 winner Wildman Jack, etc. His AEI of 1.35 compared to a 1.31 CI means he moves his mares up, and he gets a very high percentage of winners and stakes horses.
We helped a client acquire a breeding right in Goldencents during 2021, shortly before his first G1 stakes score as a sire.
