We recently purchased the $120k-earning Next Street as a breeding prospect for a client looking to build a Mid-Atlantic based broodmare band. In addition to the six victories that she scored on the track herself, Next Street is a full-sister to four-time stakes winner and $400k earner My Magician.
A powerfully-built daughter of the Graded stakes-winning sprinter Street Magician, now among the leading Maryland sires, Next Street is a half-sister to four winners from five other siblings to race — and the non-winning sibling is Miss Philly Dilly, a 2-year-old of 2018 who sold earlier this spring for $62,000 and has been 2nd in both of her starts so far, both maiden special weights.
Their dam, My Rib, was unraced, but is a half-sister to multiple stakes winner Undercover, and to the unraced dams of stakes winner & Grade 3-placed Vielsalm and three stakes-placed winners. My Rib’s dam, Satin Lilly, was also unraced, but is a half-sister to a pair of Grade 1 winners in Rose’s Cantina and Fancy Naskra, as well as to the dam of Grade 1 winner Montreal Red.
Next Street herself ran 26 times from April of her juvenile season until this past January as a 4-year-old, demonstrating her toughness while winning six races from 4-1/2 to 6-1/2 furlongs, and placing five more times, good for career earnings of $121,511.
