We advised on the purchase of the 2016 filly by Street Magician out of Juice, by Crowd Pleaser, at the 2017 Timonium Midlantic Yearling Sale, who was bought by clients of ours for $3,500. She has since been named Old Line Magic.
Old Line Magic’s sire, Street Magician, was a multiple stakes-winning son of Street Cry, and has sired 2017 stakes winner My Magician and Do What I Say. Her dam, Juice, is a half-sister to Grade 3, eight-time stakes winner Ah Day and to stakes winner Due. This is also the female family of multiple Graded stakes winner Thirty Eight Go Go and Maryland legend Ben’s Cat.
As a Maryland-bred, Maryland-sired filly, Old Line Magic will be entitled to run for increased state-bred bonuses at Laurel and Pimlico when she begins her racing career. After receiving her early lessons at Woodberry Payne’s training center in Virginia (where she also gained “Virginia Certified status”, which will entitle her owners to even more bonuses when she runs in the Mid-Atlantic), Old Line Magic is now in trainer Beth Worton’s barn at Pimlico training towards her racetrack debut.
