We acquired Twelveo’clockrock during 2024 with intentions of adding her to our broodmare band, and she will be bred for the first time in 2025.
A winner of three races, including a 5-1/2-furlong turf sprint plus dirt events at seven furlongs and one mile, Twelveo’clockrock was bred in Maryland and originally campaigned by R. Larry Johnson. She is a member of his foundation female family tracing to Ran’s Chick.
A daughter of Kentucky Derby winner and Eclipse Champion 2YO Street Sense, now also a leading sire, Twelveo’clockrock is one of four winners from four to race out of the winning Malibu Moon mare Clockstrucktwelve, including the black-type placed six-figure earner Mr Jefferson, Waittilmidnitehour, and Wait For Tomorrow. Clockstrucktwelve has a ’22 filly by Audible named Late Nite Call, a ’23 filly by McKinzie named Day To Day, a ’24 filly by Audible, and she was bred to Independence Hall for ’25.
Clockstrucktwelve is a half-sister to the Maryland-bred champion Never Enough Time, a multiple black-type winner of $394,393, plus five other winners.
Second dam What Time It Is was a six-time winner of $221,070, and four times placed in black-type company, and she is a half to the multiple black-type winner and multiple Grade 2-placed Strike the Moon, as well as to black-type winner Walk of Stars (by Street Sense, and thus bred pretty similarly to Twelveo’clockrock) — who is best known in 2024 as the dam of TDN Rising Star, Belmont-G1 and Haskell-G1 runner-up Mindframe, plus the multiple black-type placed Hollywood Walk.
Twelveo’clockrock’s third dam, Star Kell, is out of the black-type winner Special Kell, a daughter of the aforementioned Ran’s Chick. Other black-type winners tracing to Special Kell are Grade 3 winner and sire Street Magician and ’24 Grade 2 winner Future Is Now.
A strongly-made, strapping mare, we believe her pedigree and versatility will make Twelveo’clockrock an excellent producer, and we look forward to racing her offspring in the future. You can see more photos of her here.
