Waveland is a 2003 mare by Woodman (broodmare sire of over 200 stakes winners) out of Wave On, by Caveat. She won twice as a 3YO for Team Valor. As a broodmare, Waveland has produced four winners: the black-type winner Sailor’s Revenge (10 wins, $477,543), the $147,452-earner Jason’s Angel, the $107,449-earner Majestic Woody, and $58,222-earner Ticticboomdynamite. Her other two foals to race have both placed, including 3YO of 2020 Sailor Again, who has placed this year and earned $15,255. Waveland’s 2YO filly by Jump Start is breezing regularly at Monmouth for the mare’s current owner, and she has a 2020 filly by Jump Start as well who will be retained and raced by the current owner. She is now back in-foal to Grade 1 winner and millionaire Force the Pass off a May 25th cover. Waveland is a half-sister to Grade 3 winner Sailor’s Cap and to two other black-type placed runners. Waveland is being offered for free to a breeder in a regional program, so long as the seller is named co-breeder of her in utero foal to share 50% in any state-bred breeder awards to potentially be earned by that foal.
