She was an eight-time winner and earner of $187,292, who won from 2 through 5YO, including the Maryland Million Distaff Starter Handicap. She was a $130,000 OBS 2YO purchase and is by legendary Maryland stallion and nationally-recognized broodmare sire Not For Love, out of multiple stakes winner Sticky, whose other foals to race include $200k+ earner Fara’s Kid. Wild For Love’s second dam is the Grade 3 winner Hairspray, and her third dam is Miss Legality, who won the Grade 2 Black-Eyed Susan Stakes among her trio of black-type victories.
Wild For Love’s first two foals both broke their maidens as 2YOs: Dreaming of Love (2017 gelding by Imagining) took a waiver maiden claimer (no tag) going 5-1/2 furlongs on turf last year at Laurel for John Robb, earned a total of $71,873 as a 2YO, and is still active in 2020; and Unrequited Love (2018 filly by Despite the Odds) took a maiden special weight at Charles Town on July 25, 2020, after finishing 3rd in her class at the 2019 MHBA Yearling Show judged by Mike Stidham.
