Analyzeyurspending ran 19 times from April of her 2-year-old season through May of her sophomore year (despite being a June foal!) – demonstrating a degree of precocity and toughness practically unheard of these days. She broke her maiden going 5 furlongs at Delaware as a juvenile by more than five lengths, and finished second or third eleven other times, earning a total of $58,929. She’s a half-sister to 2YO stakes winner No Mo’ Spending, and their dam, Stopspendingmaria, broke her maiden by 7 lengths at 2 for trainer Todd Pletcher, and was then 2nd in the Schuylerville-G3 with a troubled trip. In 2022, she’s going to visit the G1-winning 2YO Fog of War in a matchup that will reinforce this early tendencies.
Fog of War broke his maiden first-time out going 5-1/2 furlongs as a 2YO at Saratoga, and took a 1 mile G1 in his second start that season (over future Preakness winner War of Will). He is a son of War Front, who got other exceptional 2YOs like Air Force Blue, Hit It A Bomb and US Navy Flag, and this Danzig sire-line rates an “A” on TrueNicks when crossed over Dixie Union-line mares like Analyzeyurspending. The pair of G2 winners bred on this cross includes Weston, a 2YO G2 winner by Hit It A Bomb, so we think that bodes very well.
Physically, this is a good case of like-to-like, with both Fog of War and Analyzeyurspending being medium-sized, well-muscled horses with plenty of strength and power, and we can’t wait to see the quick and early foal that their pairing produces!
