Wand Work is an unraced daughter of Eclipse Champion and leading young sire Uncle Mo (sire of Nyquist, Golden Pal, Arabian Knight, Mo Donegal, Unbridled Mo, Adare Manor, Outwork, A Mo Reay, Bast, Yaupon, Dream Tree, etc), who is is already the broodmare sire of no fewer than 17 stakes winners.
She is a half-sister to the the 2023 black-type 2YO Hedwig (by Maclean’s Music), who won two of his three starts and was 2nd in the Kentucky Downs Juvenile in his other start, earning over $175k. Her black-type placed dam, Mrs. Norris, also has a 2023 colt by Maclean’s Music in the Godolphin program and was bred to Street Sense for 2024.
Mrs. Norris’s dam is the Grade 2 winner Burmilla, who is in turn the dam of Grade 3 winner Snowbell (also the dam of 2YO stakes winner Twice As Sweet) and granddam of multiple black-type placed In a Spin. Burmilla has several other daughters in production, including Bobtail (an $85k purchase at 23KeeJan), Bell Court (an $80k purchase at 23KeeJan), Bicolour, etc. She has a 2YO filly of 2024 by Union Rags in the Godolphin program and was bred to Mystic Guide for 2024.
Burmilla is a full-sister to the multiple Grade 2-winning 2YO Magicalmysterycat, and half to the dam of stakes winners Whirlin Curlin and Lexington Street.
Wand Work will be bred for the first time in 2024 after being acquired by Wasabi at the ’24 Keeneland January Sale (when she was known as Molly Mo).
