After producing six-figure earners from her first two foals, Wild For Love’s third foal (which she was carrying when we helped our friends at Wasabi acquire her privately) turned out to be a multiple black-type winner by a Maryland-based son of Tapit. As such, that sire-line has been a route we have tried with her periodically since then, including last year with Tapit’s first-year son Charge It. It makes sense yet again in ‘26, with another exciting first-year son of Tapit retiring to stud in the beautiful G1 winner Arthur’s Ride at Taylor Made.

In addition to the success that Wild For Love has already had with the Tapit sire-line, she is a half-sister to a $375k-earner by a son of Tapit (among three half-siblings that each earned six-figures; Wild For Love herself was also a six-figure earner on the track after bringing $130k as a 2YO in-training), Tapit and his sons rate an “A+” on TrueNicks with Not For Love mares (seven black-type winners from 60 runners bred this way, plus three additional black-type placed horses). Meanwhile, Tapit and his sons with mares from the sire-line of Wild For Love’s broodmare sire Concern have produced Grade 1 winners Testa Matta and Proxy, Grade 2 winners Pink Sands and Amalfi Coast, etc. So there is plenty to like from this mating from both directions.
As for Arthur’s Ride himself, his signature victory was a brilliant performance in the G1 Whitney over an excellent field with a 110 Beyer Speed Figure (following an allowance victory in which he put up a 111 Beyer). He had been purchased as a yearling for $250k by renowned agent Donato Lanni, and placed in both his starts as a 2YO at Saratoga for Bill Mott before breaking his maiden early at 3YO at Gulfstream. He comes from a deep female family, being out of Canadian champion turf mare Points of Grace and a half-brother to G1 winner and Canadian champion 2YO filly Victory To Victory.

And then physically, Arthur’s Ride is a tall, strong, beautifully-balanced specimen who will fit the more medium-sized Wild For Love very well, and should help her produce another commercially-appealing foal that will also have every chance to be a successful runner on the racetrack!
