Dr. Schivel (by Violence out of Lil Nugget, by Mining For Money) was a precocious Grade 1 winner at 2, who returned to defeat older horses in Grade 1 company at 3, then just missed by a nose in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Sprint as a sophomore. Grade 1 caliber again at 4 and 5YO, his speed belies a leggy, stretchy, two-turn physique more in keeping with his classically-oriented sire-line.
